A Message From Mr. Johnson
Upcoming Events
Kindergarten Welcome Night:
We welcome our future Jaguars to Johnsville Elementary for an opportunity to view our school in a very slow paced, calm setting on Thursday, April 6. The night will include the opportunity to visit a kindergarten classroom, ride on a school bus, meet our kindergarten teachers and office staff, and share any registration details with our health and school offices. We invite our families with last names starting A-L to arrive between 4:30pm-5:15pm and families with last names M-Z to arrive between 5:15pm-6:00pm.
Professional Development Day:
Friday, April 7, is a K-12 Staff Development Day. There is no school for students on this day.
The Opera at Johnsville Elementary:
On Monday, April 10, the Young Artists of Fargo Moorhead will be performing for our K-5 students. I'm looking forward to the performance simply because I have not ever experienced the opera. I'm assuming that many of our students will be viewing the opera for the first time as well.
MCA Testing for 3rd-5th Grade:
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders will be taking the Reading and Math MCAs the weeks of April 17 and April 24. Our 5th Graders will be taking the Science MCAs the week of May 1.
Johnsville School Carnival:
Friday, April 28, from 5:30pm-8:00pm, our PTO will be hosting our Johnsville School Carnival. There will be games, food, raffles, and more. We hope you can make it for a lot fun and excitement!
Thank You!
Thank you to the many parents and grandparents that have taken time out of your busy schedules to be here at Johnsville during your child's lunch. While I know that you probably come for the amazing cuisine and ambiance, know that your child(ren) appreciate you being here!
Also, for the many parents that volunteered to chaperone our most recent field trips to The Works Museum and the Children's Theatre - Thank You! We hope that along with the responsibility of watching a group of students, you also enjoyed what the venues had to offer!
