Every Monday will be a Physical Training (PT) day. Tuesdays and Wednesdays we will focus on Academics and classroom requirements. Thursdays and Fridays are Uniform and Drill days. Staff Sergeant Selections
Congratulations to our newly selected Staff Sergeants for the month of September. These Cadets have distinguished themselves with their participation, volunteerism, and esprit de corps.
During September
Cruise Books
2019-2020 Cruise Books are in! If you purchased one and have not picked it up, we have them in the JROTC office. If you missed the purchase date, we bought a few extras. They’ll go fast, so don’t delay. These are probably the best JROTC yearbooks I’ve seen... $35 (Beats the small fortune we pay for the giant AHS yearbook).
Highlights from August
Booster Club President
Parents: I want to introduce a Lady, without whom we would all be lost. Our Booster Club President, Mrs. Shani Suber.
Shani is no stranger to Education; previously a Professor at Northlake College, and now the Dean of Instruction for online learning. She has worked tirelessly for us for the past four years, while her son Ryan participated (very successfully) in the program. Ryan graduated this past school year and received a full Marine Corps ROTC scholarship at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Ryans younger brother Dylan is a Freshman in the program this year and we’re all expecting great things from him over the next four years (no pressure, Dylan).
Allen High School MCJROTC Web Page (Link below)
The Allen High School MCJROTC web page is great source for information. When the school year is up and running, and we’re once again engaged in events, competitions, and celebrations, the web page will be the place to look for detailed information, pictures, and reports.
Apparel
Apparel can be purchased from the AHS MCJROTC web page at the “Apparel” tab. “School Pay” is the easiest way to purchase apparel, but please print out a receipt and have your student bring it to an instructor to receive the purchased item.
