Symbols of religion

Symbols represents or stands for something else.

The cross

The cross is a main symbols in a lot of religions around the world.

In the christian religions the cross represents the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

The Dharma Wheel

In Buddism the Dharma Wheel is one of the oldest symbols, it represents Buddhism in the same way that the cross represents Christianity or the star of David represents Judaism.

Star of David

In the Jewish religion the Star of David is a important symbol, it represent the shape of King David's shield

Sacred Text

Scared texts are holy and precious writings that people believe in.

The Torah

In Jewish religion the word "Torah" means; The law of God as revealed to Moses and recorded in the first five books of the Hebrew scriptures.

The Bible

The sacred text of Christianity is the Bible, it is separated into to sections, the Old Testament and The New Testament.


Beliefs are something that you believe in or focus on. Everyones beliefs are different to one another, depending on your religion and experiences.


Jews believe that God appointed the Jews to be his chosen people in order to set an example of holiness and ethical behaviour to the world.


One of the main beliefs in Christianly is that Jesus is the Son of God who was sent to save mankind from death and sin.

Myths and stories are what people tell one an other which may or may not be true.
