Art from the Middle Ages compared to the Renaissance
Renaissance art was brighter in ways compared to the Middle Ages art. In the time period known as the Renaissance, artists and painters have learned how to paint with perspective. The Middle Ages had art that was grim, somber, and grave. In the Renaissance, paintings were shown with emotions on the models' faces.
The Renaissance Artists
There are a couple famous artists from the Renaissance. The artists include; Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo da Vinci. Michelangelo was a artist, sculptor, architect, and poet. The two most famous of his art works is the sculpture David and the painting on the Sistine Chapel ceiling. Raphael was a painter and architect. He is best known for his paintings; Disputation of the Holy Sacrament, The Marriage of the Virgin, and Sistine Madonna. Leonardo da Vinci was a painter, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, botanist, and writer. His two famous art works are known as Mona Lisa, and The Last Supper.
