What is Copyright?
A collection of rights that are granted to the author of a piece of work
Public Domain License
Material not protected by copyright because copyright has expired, been donated, or made by using public money, such as; classic literature (Shakespeare) or classic music
Freeware License
Copyrighted work that you can copy, use, or give away for free, such as; iTunes or Safari
Shareware License
Work that you can copy, share, or use for free, but only for a limited time, such as; free trials or starter/lite apps
All Rights Reserved License
May be used by the purchaser without exceeding the contract agreement, such as; movies or games
Open Source License
Software that includes the source code with the idea that someone can improve it, such as; Firefox or Chrome
