Spring flowers
This kind of week always goes a lot faster than I expect. Not only do we have a short week, (remember, there is no school this Friday), but we also started administering the MCA assessment. The MCA is an assessment given to our third and fourth grade students in each of their homerooms. I always recommend a good night’s sleep and a good breakfast before school and it is even more helpful on these assessment days.
Classrooms are showing signs of spring. One great example is the start of the Prairie Garden Relay. The partnership between our homeroom teachers and the PTO provides hands-on learning as they learn the life cycle of prairie plants. Students engage in everything from seed collection and sowing to plant population and soil studies. They use the garden in the front of our school for their learning experiences.
On Friday, our staff will be spending time reaching out to you to share an update on your child’s progress. Here are two links that will take you to a very short video explaining the day and what you may expect - Spanish and English.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me at 763-600-5801.
I hope you all stay dry these next few days.
Con gratitúd,
John Franke
