October Guiding Principle: HONESTY
STEAM SPACE at bms
BMS received a grant from the Brunswick Education Foundation to purchase STEM and STEAM kits for our STEAM SPACE (Student Center). Our kids are able to come down to the STEAM SPACE during their PRIDE time and engage in activities that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. This is just the beginning of what we hope our STEAM SPACE will evolve into, but our kids are loving it!
Teams have also identified STEAM TEAMS, made up of kids who would benefit from enrichment and a challenge during PRIDE! STEAM TEAMS will engage in a STEAM project each quarter that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math--and also on the Journey of a Blue Devil Competencies: Communication, Critical Thinking, Adaptability, and Responsibility.
We are so excited to get our STEAM SPACE up and running for our kids!

ALL STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE AN ENVELOPE WHEN PRE-PAY PICTURES ARE DELIVERED TO SCHOOL. Inside the envelope will either be the pre-purchased prints OR a little postcard. The outside of the envelope as well as the little postcard BOTH have the access code for your child's proof on them. Please enter the 2ND SALE EVENT and use any email address and that passcode to access your child's picture.

BMS is focusing on Monthly Journey of a Blue Devil Competencies and Shared Guiding Principles
Competency Focus for each month—5 are Journey of a Blue Devil Competencies:
SEPT. = Communication (Journey of a Blue Devil)
OCT. = HONESTY
NOV. = Appreciation
DEC. = Respect
JAN. = Adaptability (Journey of a Blue Devil)
FEB. = Courage
MARCH = Thinking Critically (Journey of a Blue Devil)
APRIL = Empathy (Journey of a Blue Devil)
MAY = Responsibility (Journey of a Blue Devil)
Varsity Home football expectations
- All students will attend the game with a parent/guardian/adult who remains at the game. This is for student safety, and for supervision if needed.
- All students will sit with their parent or adult, or in the designated student section.
- All students will remain in the bleachers during the game, and only visit the concession stand before the game and at half time.
- Students should not congregate under the bleachers--this area needs to remain clear.
- No backpacks, outside food, drinks, or toys (like footballs) are permitted in the stadium.
All BCSD rules and expectations apply at varsity home football games, and school consequences can be given if students violate these rules. Students can lose the privilege of attending these events, if they are not able to meet these expectations or follow school rules. It is our hope that students attend our Blue Devil Athletic Events, and show their Brunswick Pride!
