This month in PBIS; Park Lawn Strong
This week our focus centered on the role of eating and hydration on our learning. Children learned:
- Water is essential for optimal brain health and keeps our brain from overheating
- Symptoms of dehydration
- Ways to make water more interesting
- They should drink 6-8 glasses of water during a typical school day
- Eating a balanced breakfast with protein is a strong way to start the day
- Alternatives to sugary drinks and snacks
- Fruits, vegetables, grains, ad dairy products provide all of the sugar our bodies need
**Don't forget we still have one more week of our sleep log.
