Digital Learning Day
February 27, 2020
Digital Learning Day is not about technology, it’s about learning.
What is Digital Learning Day?
How Can You Participate?
Need some inspiration? Below are some examples of things you can try with your students.
Flipgrid
Publish and Share Writing
Create an Interactive Book
Mystery Hangouts - Math Edition
Code a Story to Life
Win a $50 VISA Gift Card for Participating
Fill out this form and share how you purposefully used technology to celebrate Digital Learning Day. (It's okay if you share how you used technology on any day next week. It doesn't have to be on the actual Digital Learning Day). The form requires an explanation of what your students did, a picture of your students' participation or artifacts of student work, and the TEKS (both academic and technology) your lesson involved.
All entries that show purposeful use of technology will be entered into a drawing for a $50 VISA gift card. I will share a video of the drawing in March 3's Tech-Tip Tuesday.
Easily Record, Edit, and Share Videos!
Top reasons Hutto ISD Teachers have used Screencastify videos:
- Teach mini-lessons (Students can watch in a center/station or when there is a sub)
- Show students how to use a tool or app on their Chromebook
- Explain Learning (Student Use)

Kaila Payne's Ray Elementary students made eValentines for their teacher that was out all week sick. She said her students wanted to make sure their teacher got some love from them on Valentine's Day.
