Athletics
Announcements:
Congratulations to our senior most valuable athletes. Tahj Stewart, a 3 sport athlete that played football, basketball, and ran track. Also, to Madison Pacini, another 3 sport athlete who played volleyball, basketball and softball. Good luck to them in the future.
· Dead Period! Parents and athletes, we have a 2 week window in the summer where the student athletes need to take time for themselves and to be with their families and friends. Our “dead period” is scheduled for June 7th-June 2oth. During this time, coaches cannot hold practices, open gyms, or have any contact with our student athletes. Teams may resume practicing starting June 21st. Please take this time to take vacations and get away from sports for a few weeks and refresh the mind and body.
· Parents, if your son or daughter has played sports this year, they need to make sure they have turned in all their gear/uniforms from the sport. Coaches have been sending me “hold/fine” lists for athletes that have not turned in all their stuff. Please have your son or daughter look through their stuff and return it to Jason Murphy in the PE office.
· For your future planning. Next year on July 21st at Otay Ranch High School, we will be having the district physicals. This is a great and easy time to be registered and to get your physicals done for the whole year. There will be more info during the first week of school
