iCARE Reading Volunteers Needed
Kim Piro is soliciting volunteers this year to serve as classroom readers to benefit her "iCARE” (Introducing Children to Acceptance through Reading and Education) program began 19 years ago to teach students in grades preschool thru 5 about their special needs peers. Books focus on a variety of different disabilities and are available in the school’s library.
If you are interested in volunteering, it can be very rewarding and takes as little as half an hour of your time. If you are an interested parent who would like to read one of these books to a classroom, please call/text Kim Piro at 781-630-0463 or email her at email@example.com. You can also register to be a reader online at www.thejamiefund.org. Go to the website and click where it asks you to volunteer. Readings will start in January and go through February/March at all three elementary schools.
