Renaissance Architecture

This exhibit presents many types of architectural styles that were built during the Renaissance period. Renaissance Architecture was created between the 15th and 17 the centuries. Many works of Renaissance architecture include the "Tempietto di San Pietro", the "Cathedral of Florence", the Chateau de Chambord, and the "Temple of Vesta".

Cathedral of Florence

The Cathedral of Florence was the main church of Florence, Italy, and currently the fourth largest church in the world. It is a design of Italian Gothic architecture and was dedicated to "Santa Maria del Fiore" the city of Florence, Italy. It's construction begun at the end of the 13th century and was constructed by Arnolfo di Cambio. It's exterior dome was built in the 15th century and was built using plans created by Filippo Brunelleschi.

Temple of Vesta

The Temple of Vesta is an ancient an ancient edifice, a large imposing building, that is located in close distance to the House of the Vestal Virgins and thew Regia. The temple is very well known for being circular, the temple's most recognized architecture. The builder of the temple was believed to be Numa Pompilius, the same builder as the Regia and House of the Vestal Virgins. Many valuable things, such as the Palladium, were stored inside this city.

Chateau de Chambord

The Chateau de Chambord is one of the most distinct manor houses in the world because of its French Renaissance architecture. This structure's construction was started, but not completed, and King Francois I was responsible for building it. Of chateaus, manor houses, this one is the biggest in the Lorie Valley. At one point the building was abandoned, until further restoration efforts.

Tempietto di San Pietto

The Tempietto di San Pietro was constructed in the same spot as a former church. It was built in the 19th century in Rome, Italy. Inside the church the walls are covered with paintings that were made by 16th-17th century artists.
