3rd Grade Family Dinner
Please join us for the 3rd grade family dinner Friday night February 19th at 5-7 in the east cafeteria. This is a free event for the whole family! Come visit with your teachers and administrators, enjoy delicious gyros, chips and salad and by attending your student will receive free dress pass. Please feel free to bring dessert. You may park in the back and enter through the gate. We look forward to seeing you there!
SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS
Are you looking for a camp experience that is fun for kids and worry-free for parents? Dallas Parks and Recreation Department Summer Camps begin in June and feature recreational, educational, and cultural options for children ages 5-12.
Thanks to the Dallas Parks Foundation, youth scholarships for the 8 week camp are available for Dallas residents who qualify for state and federal financial programs.
Scholarship application deadline is February 29th.

THE FIRST TEE OF DALLAS AFTER SCHOOL GOLF PROGRAM
Youth golf programs for boys and girls age 7-18 begin the second week of March.
The First Tee of Greater Dallas is focused on helping young people understand and develop The First Tee’s Nine Core Values and Nine Healthy Habits, as well as teaching them the game of golf. The First Tee introduces youth to the game of golf by teaching them the necessary skills, rules, and etiquette of the game. More importantly, the instructors and volunteers help children learn the skills and values necessary to succeed in life. For program information visit: www.thefirstteedallas.org

Practice STAAR
Please be aware that next week we will conduct our Practice STAAR testing, and the campus will not be allowing any visitors until after 2p. All students must arrive by 7:45a so that testing may begin promptly at 8a. Be sure students get good rest each night before and a good breakfast in the morning to ensure success!
Cyberpatriot team advances to regional round
We just received the cyberpatriot state round result, which states that we will advance to the regional round. This was after 6 hours of work by 4 students working together; one for Windows 7, one for Windows 8, one for Ubuntu 12.04, and one for the Cisco Networking Quiz. Wish them good luck!

Scout for Food
The FOUR classes (two from k-5 and two from 6-11) with the most donated boxes will be awarded a Pizza Party and a free dress day! Please bring to your teacher or to Mr. McGinn in room 1204.
Upon completion of the event, we will hold a Domino Maze assembly on Friday, February 26th! So, the more boxes, the bigger the maze! Let's make this go VIRAL!!!!
2nd Sky Ranch Payments Due February 19th
Please keep in mind that full payment for Sky Ranch is due this Friday, February 19, 2016 to the front office. These are for the parents who have made the initial half payment and/or chaperones who still need to pay.
