ROAR Roundup
Connecting with Greenwood Elementary Families: Oct. 6, 2023
A September to Remember but the Best is Yet to Come.
We had a great first full month of school and there is still so much to look forward to. I have really enjoyed visiting classrooms, playing at recess, and seeing all of the amazing student work hanging around the hall.
Thank you for everyone who participated in our Fall Fundraiser. The money raised goes into our Elementary Fund which is used for things like Field Trips, Wildcat Fun Day, ROAR Incentives, and other student-centered fun!
You also received a notification from Dr. MK regarding our annual evacuation and lockdown practice. Please know that we love our students, and the safety of your children is most important to us. These drills will be conducted in a way that is developmentally appropriate for our young learners.
Don't forget that there is no school for Students on Monday October 9th due to staff In-Service.
We can't wait to welcome many of our Grandparents for our annual Grandparents Day Visit on October 13th and our Veterans for our special program on November 10th. Please keep scrolling for more upcoming events!
Enjoy the Day,

Newport Public Library
Our friends at the Newport Public Library want you to know that you are always welcome! There is not public library in the in our immediate community so NPL is the public library that serves the entire Greenwood population. Greenwood families can get a library card free of charge and can use it at NPL for checking out books and movies as well as to access online resources provided by the state (ACCESS PA and the POWER Library). This is great for homework help, research, or just plain enjoyment.
