From the Principal's Office
Welcome back!
We had a great (short) week at Hunt Club! We are busy ACCESS testing and prepping for IAR, which begins next week for some classes. The schedule was sent to all 3rd-5th grade families; if you have questions, please call our main office.
Our teachers also spent some time reviewing expectations this week for our new students and for our returning students as the anticipation begins to build for summer. We have much to do this school year, still, and need to stay focused :)
Have a great weekend!

2021-2022 Returning Student Registration
Registration for the 2021-2022 school year is now open in Tyler for returning students. Some components of the registration process are not functional on a mobile device at this time. To register, please use a computer. When the mobile application is working without issue we will let you know.
Return to school in August will resume full-time, five days per week. Students who qualify for an exemption from in-person attendance based upon medical need of the student or a housemate will require a medical provider to complete an exemption request form and return it to the district. The form and instructions will be distributed in April, though registration should still be completed at this time.

World’s Finest Chocolate Fundraiser!!!
We have two wonderful reasons for you to buy chocolate! Order by April 16 and you will have yummy treats in time to pamper the teachers and staff at Hunt Club on Sweets day during teacher appreciation week as well as in time for Mother’s Day! But who needs an excuse for chocolate, buy something for yourself as well! Bonus is that 40% of the sales come back to the school!
You have two options for ordering:
Order through the World’s Finest Chocolate website (see attached flyer for instructions). This would be perfect for family members who live farther away. Also, there are magazines that you can purchase on this website. Please be advised that there are taxes and shipping costs with this method.
Order through Cheddar Up. Home & School will collect the orders/payments and place one large order through World’s Finest Chocolate. Since H&S is a non-profit, there is no tax and H&S will pay for the shipping on this order. We will receive the product, organize it, and deliver it to either Hunt Club or to your home.

Last Home & School Meeting!
Tuesday, April 13th at 7 pm is our last Home & School meeting. We are having our elections for next year! We still need someone to take on the role of President and 2nd Vice President. We need these roles in order to function, so if you could take these roles on, we really would appreciate it! We have many others who would be happy to help you with these roles, but we need someone to step up.

Updates to Elementary Gifted Education Screening Process for School Year 2021-22:
Dental Examination Required for all kinder and 2nd grade parents!
Dental Examination
Required for Kindergarten and 2nd grade
In the fall of 2005, the State of Illinois began requiring a complete dental examination for students in kindergarten and 2nd grade.
Students in kindergarten and 2nd grade for the school year 2020-2021 need an examination dated on or after November 15, 2019 to meet this requirement. You may call and ask your dentist to fill out the form on any exam completed since that time.
Call your dentist today to make an appointment, as the appointments fill up quickly. Please contact the nurse if a lack of insurance is keeping you from obtaining a dental exam. Again, a dental exam is a part of the health requirements per the State of Illinois. Completed forms may be sent with your student to school, or faxed directly to my office at the number below.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Nurse Randi at 630-636-2802 or rspinelli@sd308.org.
