April is National School Library Month. School libraries are integral to our schools and school librarians play an invaluable role in the education of our students. Our libraries foster a sense of belonging and an engaging place to think, connect, create, discover, and explore. They also offer our students the opportunity to grow through access to technology, multimedia, and incredible resources of every variety. Thank you D’Lee Bammer, Grace Clifford, and Kristin Campbell for transforming lives and impacting student achievement at TCSC as our Media Center personnel. #ThankYouINTeacherLibrarians
This is also National Public Health Week. I can’t say enough about how much we value and appreciate those who serve in the public health field. The staff at the Tipton County Health Department has been a steady partner and a beacon of light in guiding us through one of the most challenging public health crises of our lifetimes. Thank you for tireless work to protect the health of everyone in our community every day. You are our heroes! #ThankYouPublicHealth
Tipton High School is currently accepting nominations for its Class of 2021 Academic Alumni Wall of Fame, Distinguished Alumni Wall of Fame, and Athletic Wall of Fame. The Academic Alumni Wall of Fame honors graduates of Tipton High School who have excelled academically, earning their doctorate and other outstanding academic achievements. The Distinguished Alumni Wall of Fame honors former Tipton High School students who have performed notable and consistent service to society above and beyond their occupational duties. The Athletic Wall of Fame honors our graduates who excelled in athletics while attending Tipton High School as well as at the college level or professionally.
Tipton High School has a proud history of academic and athletic excellence spanning the course of well over a century. These special programs give us an opportunity to recognize and celebrate our alumni who have distinguished themselves during and after high school through significant accomplishments in their career, contributions to their community or society in general, and athletics. It is our privilege to recognize and honor inductees who serve as an inspiration to our current students and as a reminder of the unlimited possibilities that await after graduation. Nomination forms are available at the Tipton High School office. Completed forms should be returned to the high school office by Tuesday, April 27.
On a final note of interest, Tipton Community School Corporation is hiring! We have a variety of employment opportunities throughout the corporation that may be of interest to those whose skills and qualifications fit the position. We are always looking to add new talent to our Blue Devil team. We invite you to check out the most recent postings on our website at: www.TCSC.k12.in.us. #Tipton Pride
