Luke Taylor transitions to Academic Manager in the College of Engineering
After advising in the College of Engineering for 4 years, Luke Taylor has accepted the Academic Manager position previously held by Julie Cook. In this role, his responsibilities include course management, classroom scheduling, CAPA approvals, High Demand Major Admissions process, and other related academic affairs in the College.
Congratulations to Luke! His experience will be a great resource to the College of Engineering in this new role. The College is in the process of filling Luke's vacated advising position in the School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural and Mechanical Engineering. The College is also seeking an advisor to fill the vacant position in the School of Chemical, Materials, and Biological Engineering.

Diana Beckett transitions from Terry to the College of Engineering
Diana currently advises Computer System Engineering and Electrical Engineering students alongside Carlie Cooper. She is a UGA alumna and an experienced Academic Advisor who worked in Terry for 8 years. The Engineering advising team is very excited to have her on their team!
Apollonia Johnson joins Honors Advising Team
The Honors Program advisors are pleased to welcome Apollonia Johnson to our team.
Apollonia has previously worked as an international student advisor, is Safe Space ally trained, and enjoys working with students from different backgrounds and cultures.
Originally from Stuttgart, Germany, Apollonia has lived in the US since the early 2000’s. They received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and International Affairs from the University of North Georgia.
Apollonia's family owns a gluten and dairy-free bakery in the Athens area and also love to build furniture.

Healing Circle: Support Group for Black Womxm
The Healing Circle is a space where we as Black women can explore issues such as loss, stress, depression, relationships, identities, boundaries, and spirituality, and experience the process of healing together. The Healing Circle is an 8-week commitment. This upcoming cycle will begin mid-March. The day and time will depend on the majority availability of those interested. We ask all who are interested to consider their availability in making the 8-week commitment. Thank you for your interest, we are excited to join you on your healing journey. This group is completely FREE!

Legal Studies Certificate Change
LEGL 4200 (Intellectual Property Law) has been approved as an option for Part II of the Legal Studies Certificate. The course has previously been usable in Part III only.
No other certificate requirements have changed, but we hope this will help alleviate the bottleneck around the required courses. This change will be included in next year's Bulletin, and it will apply to students already in the certificate program. Students with questions/concerns about fitting the certificate courses into their timeline are welcome to join virtual walk-in hours, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 3-4 at the link below:
