Parent Update- #MPE2getherWeGrow
From the Principal
We are so excited to be welcoming back our Panthers both face to face and virtually next week. Our teachers and staff have been gearing up for one of the most unprecedented school years ever. We all know that we will never forget year 2020! My hope is that this pandemic will end soon and we all can get back to a normal time where we could once again see our children's beautiful faces in person and give them lots of hugs and high fives!
We want to remind you that we are definitely thinking outside of the box to create the smoothest back to school possible. If you want to walk your child to the front door, we have created a modified process at the front of our building. We will have a line set up on the west side of the front door under the awning portion. Parents and child(ren) can stand in the line on the marked spots on the sidewalk to allow for social distancing. At the front door, we will welcome your child into MPE, and send them on to class. We have everyone on duty both inside and outside of the building, so rest assured your child will be in good hands. If they need breakfast, we have a grab and go breakfast cart right available, your child must have an ID to get a breakfast or lunch. Please make sure you give them their ID before they come to school.
On the first day, if you send supplies with your child, please send only the basics such as paper, pencils, colors, journal or spiral, or/and a folder in their backpack. They need to be able to carry their own backpack to class. Our school supply list is posted on or MPE Campus Web Site under Quick Links.
Once you have dropped off your child, if you need to give items to the nurse, have questions about enrollment, need a MPE Transportation Tag, or pick up your child's go bag, we will have a tables set up on the east side of the front office.
I also ask that you review the arrival and dismissal information. On the first few days, there will be delays in the dismissal process. I ask for your continued patience and support. In order to keep everyone safe, please follow the procedures.
As always, thank you for trusting us with your most prized possessions, and rest assured we will do everything possible to keep our children and staff safe.
Your Proud Principal,
Dr. Martinez
