Greenback Night & Open House!
The following is an agenda of this night's activities:
- 6:00 pm Silent Auction begins
- 6:30 pm PTA meeting in cafeteria
- 6:45 pm Overview of Open House
- 7:00 pm - 8:31 pm Parents will rotate through each of their child's class periods, 1st - 8th period
- 8:40 pm Silent Auction & Greenback Night ends
For parents of Gifted & Talented students, there will be a short parent meeting in the library from 5:45 pm - 6:00 pm. Your child's GT teacher will provide you with more information.
During school on Tuesday, your child will receive his/her class schedule to take home to you. You will use that schedule during the Open House portion of Greenback Night. Our counselors will be posted outside the counseling department from 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm to distribute your child's schedule just in case you do not receive it from your child that day. We will guide you through each class period using our PA system and bells.
Parking will be very hectic during Greenback Night, so please be patient and understanding. We have a fabulous community and most of you attend every campus function throughout the school year. However, we have limited parking spaces for all of our families. So, to accommodate parking that night, we will have overflow parking at Encino Park Elementary School. We will begin shuttle bus transportation to and from their parking lot beginning at 5:45 pm and ending at 8:40 pm. We will have multiple NEPD officers on traffic duty to help facilitate this event.

Tejeda Box Tops!
Welcome back to school, parents! My name is Beth Rocheleau and I’m thrilled to be Tejeda’s Box Tops for Education™ Coordinator.
Clipping Box Tops is an easy way to help earn cash for our school. Each one is worth 10¢ for our school! Just look for the pink Box Tops on hundreds of products. All you have to do is clip them and send them to school.
Box tops can be given to your student’s Science teacher and then they will make their way to me. We use the Box Top money to buy Science lab supplies and materials. We collect Box Tops year round however, there are two submission deadlines; November 1st and March 1st.
Get your Bonus Box Tops at HEB!! Buy 10 box tops products and get 60 bonus box tops when you check out. Or buy 15 box tops products and get 100 bonus box tops! UIL Academic Team Meeting!
We will be hosting our UIL Informational Meeting on Friday, September 16th after school in the cafeteria. Students can compete in Math, Number Sense, Calculator, Science, Maps, Charts & Graphs, and several other academic events. They will compete in multiple meets held throughout the school year. This is a great opportunity for your child to meet students, share common interests, and continue to sharpen their intellectual prowess. So, please encourage your child to participate and join our awesome UIL Academic Team. Go Timberwolves!

TEJEDA PTA GENERAL MEETING-Silent Auction/Greenback/Meet the Teacher Night, Tuesday, 9/13, 6-8:30 PM: Please join us for our first PTA meeting of the year and bid on many items at our annual Silent Auction. Silent auction will close at 8:40 PM and all items may be purchased by "check or cash" ONLY in the Teacher's Lounge. All proceeds benefit PTA programs. PVSA (Presidential Volunteer Service Award)-It’s never too early to start logging your volunteer hours into the PVSA (www.presidentialserviceawards.gov) website. Parents, each student in your household needs a separate email address and password to begin logging hours. Also, if your student is new to Tejeda please change the Record of Service Key to Tejeda’s key: FCD-43444. Instructions are located on the PTA website.
