A Quiet Corner
Hoping to never be deleted before bringing you a smile.
Welcome to A Quiet Corner
April marks a turning point. It established the practice of falling down, and getting back up stronger. When you choose to be the trailblazer, when you choose to leave everything behind and start fresh, resilience becomes one of the most beneficial muscles you have to develop. Life doesn't leave you much choice.
April will always be a turning point. The month of taking off the old mask and seeing the world with a fresh pair of eyes, a questioning mind and a receiving body.
April is a good month to renew patterns.

Enneagram Series III: The Wholesome Peacemaker
“ I reviewed all the resumes you sent me. Thank you for including their Enneagram Type. Tell me more about Sara. She seems to be a Type 9. We can surely benefit having a Peacemaker in the team.” The CEO confirmed.
“ Of course! I certainly agree. She’s a calm and level headed individual. Rather quiet. She strikes you as shy until she warms up. But I assure you, shyness is not something that would hold her back. She can tackle a problem integrally, from all angles, and come up with a solution in her wholesome manner. She’s definitely a great candidate for managing the team. She can bring the team together, as long as she doesn’t fall into her unhealthy levels and become a doormat. She’s not impulsive or forceful. She can make quick decisions. As long as there’s someone in the team that would put her solutions into action.” The HR replied.
“ What do you mean by that?” She asked. Read more

Chapter One
2010, Georgia , USA
She was his last hope. He was her last battle.
The topless Mercedes that drove them to the bar for drinks was a great match for that deliciously warm Southern evening in late July. The breeze on her bare skin felt like silk wrapping her all over sensually, like she was the most precious gift of the season. The mystery and magic in the air numbed her senses, making it impossible to live in her skin. “Is this how people feel when they get high on drugs?” Read more
No Makeup by Sharon Olds
Maybe one reason I do not wear makeup is to scare people.
If they’re close enough, they can see something is different with me,
something unnerving, as if I have no features,
I am embryonic, pre-eyebrows, pre-eyelids, pre-mouth,
I am like a water-bear talking to them,
or an amniotic traveller,
a vitreous floater on their own eyeball,
human ectoplasm risen on its hind legs to discourse with them.

Self Observation
I was deeply touched by one of the On Being episodes this week Science of Mindlessness & Mindfulness by Ellen Langer. Loved her offering. She suggests practicing " NOTICING" vs mindfulness. How about building a self observation around noticing?
During the past few hours:
- how much did I notice my environment?
- how much did I notice any specific characteristic, feeling, change about the people who I encountered?
- how much did I notice my own mind, body and heart?
Need help developing a self observation practice? Feel free to contact me.

Nana Grants
Georgia alone %40 of kids are raised in single parent homes. Education for the parents becomes really crucial in saving their generation from poverty. Most of these single parents have to drop out and are not able to take advantage of scholarships because they can't afford childcare. You can read more.
I am genuinely passionate about this cause and hope that you consider supporting single Nana Grant. You can make a difference in a generation! https://www.flipcause.com/secure/fundraiser/MzE5OTc=/15704
