BUILD BACK BAPTISTE! The Grinch Needs Love!
"On entering the house, they saw the child with Mary, his mother; and they knelt down and paid him homage." Matthew 2:11
On June 30, a fire destroyed the 113 yr old St. Jean Baptiste Parish Church in Morinville. This Advent season, all members of our GSACRD community are invited to support the communities of Morinville and St. Jean Baptiste Parish in their efforts to rebuild.
Our school division is raising funds to help support the rebuilding of our parish by helping the Grinch to grow his heart!
The Grinch has kidnapped The Doug, to stop him from sharing the joy of Christmas and the story of God's love for us. The Grinch needs our love!
If we raise enough money we can help the Grinch's heart to grow, he'll return The Doug.
All funds raised in support of the rebuilding of St. Jean Baptiste Parish Church.

ADVENT
This past week we lit the second purple candle - the Candle of Peace and is sometimes called the "Prophecy Candle" in remembrance of the prophets who foretold the birth of Christ. The peace of God brings us calm and allows us to look at others through the eyes of God ,As we move through the season of Advent, we prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus.
Next week, we will light the PINK candle of JOY. We are joyful as we enter the season of Christmas.

Activities for a Giving & Grateful Home
Activities for a Giving & Grateful Home
The holiday season is a time for the whole family to pause, reflect and count the blessings to be grateful for in our homes. But sometimes from children, we can hear complaining, whining and pointing out everything that they don’t have. How can we support our children with the learnings of being giving and grateful through the holidays? Watching movies together, reading books that teach about gratitude and spending time helping in the community are all great places to start.
Check out The Holiday Activity Pack from Big Life Journal below on how to inspire gratitude in your home. *All resources are age-appropriate and parent-approved.
