Start Time
As we finish out September we have been reflecting on the change in start time this year. It has been really great to see the students enter the building more alert and awake to start the day. The extra time in the morning for students seems to be making a positive impact on their focus and attention during the first periods of the school day. We have seen an increased ridership on our buses which has improved our parent drop-off in the mornings. We have been working out the kinks with the bus arrivals to start the day so they can be to homeroom on time. As we work out these hiccups going into October, we look to start pulling some solid data on our number of Tardy students and academic data as well. Observationally, we have seen an improvement in decreasing the number of students we have entering late for homeroom this year.
I hope you child has had a positive experience with the start time. If you do have any thoughts or feedback, we are always welcome to hear from you.
