Remote Learning Information
We will have two opportunities to pick up materials, textbooks and Chromebooks this week
Tuesday September 8th 1:00 - 3:00 and 6:00 - 8:00
Wednesday September 9th 1:00 - 3:00 and 6:00 - 8:00
At pickup your child will receive a letter with their teacher assignment and their Google Classroom login code. If they are receiving their device they will also receive log-in information. Textbooks and materials will also be distributed at that time
Students in grades 1-5 will receive a device, Pre-K and K students will receive a device once they arrive. Touchscreen devices have been ordered for these students as they are easier for young children to use. Packets will be provided for Pre-K and K students who don't have access to a device at home until they arrive. Pre-K and K families can access class content and communicate with teachers through a personal device or older child's Chromebook until their devices arrive.
According to the West Virginia Department of Education, decisions regarding in person instruction will be determined each Saturday night at 9:00 p.m. This information will be shared with families each Sunday.

Don't stress over completing tasks on September 8 & 9, these first days will be introductory and give overviews and practice. All assignments beginning September 10th will need to be completed and submitted to the teacher. Please expect that there will be daily opportunities to engage in live instruction with teachers online. The school day will continue to follow our instructional day of 8:51 to 3:40. Teachers will be available daily to answer questions during their online office hour, after school hours they can be contacted by email and you will receive a response the next day.
If you already have received your Google Classroom code you can enter the classroom and see when your teacher will be meeting with you online. Please realize on the morning of the 8th teachers will be moving textbooks and materials to the gym for distribution beginning in the afternoon.

Meal pick up will be at all schools from 12:00-12:30. If you have students at different schools you can sign up to pick up all meals at one location.
All school meals are free this year for all students until December 31st

Acceptable Use Policy
Parent and Child should be together for the 3-Adult so that parent and child can go over the do's and don'ts of technology use!
All students must have a parent/guardian signed AUP on file prior to September 30th.
On October 1 if there is no signed/submitted AUP, student's chromebook access will be turned off.
