Internal Lockdown Drill
We will be conducting an internal lockdown drill during lunch (approximately 12:35) today. We will follow the same procedures as last year’s internal lockdown drill. Please take a moment during third block on Monday to familiarize your students with the drill procedure. A short reference guide is below for your reference.
Step 1: Lockdown alarm will sound at approximately 12:35 to initiate the drill. You will recall that this is a unique siren sound that is very different from our regular fire drill alarm.
Step 2: Students will follow the lockdown procedures pictured below and remain in place for the duration of the drill.
Step 3: An administrator will make an announcement that the drill is complete. At this time, students will report directly to their fourth block class. Thank you for your assistance in all of our drills and dedication to making sure our students are safe.

Virtual Learning Day--Monday, October 14
Monday, October 14 will be the first of two Virtual Learning days identified by the division. All teachers will provide assignments to students directly while in class to help them prepare for the work that is to be completed at home. The Department of Teaching has developed curriculum-based learning assignments and templates for teachers to utilize and modify as needed. These resources give teachers the ability to adjust assignments to align with pacing and curriculum. Teachers may also create their own assignments based on student interest and needs. All VL assignments are to be designed either online or using paper and pencil at home, depending upon a student's preference and/or need. There is a five school day window for secondary students to complete assignments. Teachers will be available during the VL day to answer questions from students through email and through Schoology.
Teacher Assembly
The Teacher Assembly includes one teacher representative from each school and meets four times during the 2019-2020 school year. This flyer outlines the goals of the Teacher Assembly and the expectations of the representatives. Kudos
Kudos to our NJROTC students who placed 3rd out of 11 units during Lake Taylor's PT, Academic, and Uniform Personnel Inspection competition. They also assisted with autistic children at a local Bounce House.
Kudos and thanks to Anthony Le who makes his way out to the bus ramp almost every afternoon to see our students off.
