Message from the Principal
Well we did it again. One more Online School week under our belts.
Hopefully you received and responded to our survey sent yesterday. If not, please use the link HERE. We need your input to adjust and get better. It only takes a minute or two.
As you hopefully know at this point, our teams are working hard to support the social and emotional needs of your kids. Each week we have a "theme" with a series of videos and discussion prompts for class meetings. This week many of our classrooms talked about self-awareness and paying attention to how you are feeling and why. Below are some guiding questions that you can use as a family to continue these conversations.
Family Guiding Questions:
What is something you did well today?
What is something you are proud of today?
Tell me about something you have improved in this week?
What is something that you did recently that you could do better next time?
What is something you can do now that you couldn’t do last year/month/week?
Lastly I want to detail some important information regarding the taking and use of photos or videos of our virtual classrooms. For those of you returning to CFT, this is a reminder and for those of you new to our school district, this is an introduction to our policy regarding students taking photos or videos with their school-issued devices. Please see below:
Section 3.6 of the Technology Use Expectations and Responsibilities section of the TTSD Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook states:
Photos/Video Taken with Device: Students may not take photos or video of other students, staff, or anyone without their permission. The possession, forwarding, or uploading of unauthorized photos or video to any website, network storage area, or person is strictly forbidden. In addition, photos and video taken with the device may not be used to slander, bully or denigrate any student, staff member, or anyone on or off the campus at any time. Photos and video taken with the device and with permission are for educational purposes only. Refer to TTSD Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook for additional guidance on harassment and cyberbullying, Section 18: Student Environment. (http://www.ttsdschools.org).
We ask our families to respect and model these guidelines as well. To protect the privacy of our students and staff, please do not take pictures or videos of virtual classrooms and post to websites or social media platforms. If you do take pictures or videos of your student participating in online learning, please be sure to block out any images of the classroom, teacher or other kids.
Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions or need additional information, about this policy or anything else, please contact our front office.
Have a great weekend.
