In October, our school will be presenting the Widefield Connections Program (a suicide prevention program) to give students needed information and resources. The presentation for freshmen and sophomores will be on the 13th during advisory and the juniors and seniors’ presentation will be on the 20th during advisory. This program includes signs to watch for, how to get help at school and in the community, and recognizing individual’s strengths.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the counseling center by phone or email.

Lifeguarding Class Opportunity

Are you interested in becoming a lifeguard? Then we have the class for you! This year, for the first time ever, we are collaborating with Widefield Parks & Rec to offer Lifeguarding as a class during 2nd semester. We will cover the cost of the certification (a $300+ savings), you will get certified AND get a PE credit, and then can apply to work at Widefield Parks & Rec this summer at over $15/hour! The class will be offered 8th hour 2nd semester to anyone 15 and over by the last day of class in May. If you are interested in taking lifeguarding, please see your counselor, asap!
