The Southwest
Summary
The people of the southwest were interesting. they're diet mostly consists of corn. They also eat beans, squash, deer, antelope, rabbit, fruits and pinion nuts. They wore thin garments, the lighter the better since they lived in warm climates. For shoes they wore moccasins. People built low round chambers of the pueblo called kivas. They were very skilled at making and painting pottery. They even had the best painted ware on the continent, bowls, plates, and pots, in designs of red, brown, and black on yellow-brown clay. For tools they had bow and arrows, calendars, and an irrigation system.
They ate and harvested corn. They even used to sprinkle corn on newborns!
They wore thin clothing and moccasins.
Pueblos were built of adobe formed into bricks, a technique the Indians learned from the Spanish.
They wove baskets, painted and made pottery
They used many tools to accomplish many things
