All About Islam
Muslims pray in a mosque mainly on Friday at noon where they are taught by an Imam or a Mullah. They believe that Mecca is where Mehamah was born, so they face towards Mecca when they pray. They read from the Qur'an (their holy book) and learn about damnation, monotheism, Salvation, and fasting. The Islamic religion has its own new year called Al'Aijra and a very specific holiday called Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Muslims will give charity, wear white clothing, and pray towards the sacred box, Ka'bah, in mecca. They do all these things to give thanks and show everyone is equal. The main sacrament is the five pillars. The five pillars are Shahada (belief there is only one god), Zakat (giving to the needy), Salat (you must pray five times a day), siyam (fasting), and hajj (pilgrimage to mecca). Muslims, Christians and Jews all believe in monotheism and they all believe in the common figure Abraham.
