Fall Fun
Everyone had such a great time at our Halloween party. We decorated candy bags, painted pumpkins, and wrapped each other like mummies. We explored the inside of a pumpkin with our different senses. We even used the seeds from inside to decorate our own pumpkin art. We've wrapped up our pumpkin and Halloween activities and have continued with our fall theme. As we're learning about fall we've went on scavenger hunts looking for leaves, acorns, and other fall items found outside.
We're continuing to learn about the days of the week and getting meaningful exposure to a calendar by talking about holidays and the different birthdays celebrated in our classroom. With our calendar we've been counting the number of days until upcoming holidays and birthdays, and have been learning about different shapes and patterning (AB patterns) as the dates are on different shape/color cards. For example, we'll continue a pattern such as "red, blue, red, blue, red, _____." We've also recently been taking turns answering questions such as "What's your name?", "How old are you?", etc. in circle time.
