TECHNOLOGY UPDATE
With regards to technology, we understand that these past few weeks have been challenging and frustrating for some families. We would like to share that additional fixes to many of the industry-wide technical issues have recently become available and are being applied to devices in the District. In most cases, Chromebook swaps will no longer be necessary to resolve these issues. If you are currently still experiencing challenges during remote learning due to technical problems, our Technology Department is ready to assist you with their expertise and remote tools.
Families are welcome to request technical assistance by completing the Student Chromebook Help Desk form and the Technology Department will reach out to you as soon as possible.

WEEK OF RESPECT AND SCHOOL VIOLENCE AWARENESS WEEK
Our district observed Week of Respect at the beginning of the month (October 5th - October 9th) by providing age-appropriate instruction focusing on preventing and remediating harassment, intimidation, and/or bullying, in both an in-person and virtual setting.
Also this month is School Violence Awareness Week, which starts next week, October 19th. This week affords a great opportunity for districts and schools to bring staff, students, parents, and law enforcement together to be active participants in the important work of violence prevention and school safety.
The lessons, discussions, videos, morning announcements, and activities for both of these weeks were organized by the Anti-Bullying Specialists in each of our buildings. Many thanks to them for their hard work and commitment, as well as teachers and administrators for their support. Although the weeks are observed in October, our hope is always that the lessons on respect and how to take care of one another carry over into the days, weeks and months to come.
