Jersey Day for Students
Safety First
- If you are waiting in line for parent drop off, please remain before the crosswalk in front of the school. If there are cars already in line, please take your place behind those cars.
- Students should not be dropped off in the parking lot. The safest place is in the car line. If you are bringing your child into the building, please be sure you are walking with your child.
- During parent drop off, you should enter our campus by turning right into the driveway.
- Obey the posted Right Turn Only sign when exiting campus.
- During afternoon pick up, do not try to enter campus into oncoming traffic. If the line has formed, please wait until it is safe to enter the driveway.
- Parents are not permitted to pick students up in the office at dismissal.
- Make sure you have your car tag visible.
- During drop off and pick up, please follow the directions of staff directing traffic.

Health Note from the School Nurse
Say BOO to the FLU!
Flu season is here to stay for the next few months. Here are a few tips to keep children healthy and ready to learn:
1. Wash those hands. We may say it a million times, but it really works.
2. Eat healthy meals, including breakfast.
3. Stay hydrated, drink water.
4. Get enough sleep at night. Our bodies do much of their healing and infection fighting while we sleep. We need to get enough sleep for our bodies to do a good job.
5. Get a flu shot. Current recommendations say flu shots are for everybody 6 months old and up. Children hold more of the flu virus than any other age group, and other than the elderly, have the most serious cases. Protecting our children protects everyone.
Just a reminder that children who have reached the age of ten (10) are eligible to receive the Tdap immunization (*this shot will be required for your child to enter the 7th Grade).
Why wait? You can get a jump start and get the shot when your child turns 10 or 11.
Please call for an appointment at 239-461-6100, or you can make an appointment with your child’s pediatrician. Please bring that documentation/record of that Tdap to your school nurse.
Also, if you have started the gardasil/HPV series for your child, 3 shots are in the series, be sure to complete it if needed.
