VetCAMP (Veterinary Career Aptitude and Mentoring Program) is a week-long, on-campus summer program for high school students. At VetCAMP, students experience veterinary medicine – and will be involved in activities aimed at evaluating their skills and competitiveness as future veterinarians. The week is filled with visits and hands-on learning at our veterinary teaching hospital, diagnostic labs, and the Poultry Diagnostic and Research Center — and highlighted by a behind-the-scenes tour of the Georgia Aquarium. In addition, VetCampers learn about what vet school is all about – from admissions to classes to study abroad opportunities, to the wide variety of career paths veterinary medicine has to offer!
The cost of attending the program is $900 and covers lodging, meals, instruction and social activities. Financial assistance is available to participants with demonstrated need. Students who are accepted into VetCAMP may request a financial assistance application by emailing vetcamp@uga.edu .

FAFSA
Every college-bound senior needs to complete the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have not completed the FAFSA, The Educational Opportunity Center at Midlands Tech will help you. You do not have to be attending Midlands Tech to use this service.

- Picture ID
- Permanent Resident card (if eligible non-citizen)
- Social Security card
- Most recently filed tax return and W-2 forms

December 1 – Applicants who apply by this date will receive an admissions decision the week of February 15. Final deadline to apply for Fall admission is May 1.
College of Charleston
November 1- Early Decision Deadline – Students’ applications and all supporting documents – including transcripts and secondary school reports – must be submitted or postmarked by this date. Students should select the early decision option only if they have selected College of Charleston as their first choice and will not use scholarships and financial aid as a primary factor in their decision. Application materials for early decision candidates must be submitted by November 1. Decision letters are issued by early December 1.
University of Georgia
January 1 - First-year application Deadline.
University of South Carolina
October 15 - Early Application Answer Deadline – Students who submit complete applications and all required credentials by this date will hear from the admissions office by December 19. Answers may be acceptance, denial, or deferred decision until mid-March.

Students can apply through the Common Application, the Coalition Application or UofSC Application. All standardized test scores must be self-reported by February 1.
USC uses self-reported standardized test scores to make initial admission and scholarship decisions. Students can report their scores through their Admissions Portal after they apply.

- Must be a high school senior attending a public or private secondary school in the state of South Carolina.
- Must be a permanent resident of the state of South Carolina.
- Must plan to attend a post-secondary institution during the 2020-2021 school year.
Applicants must:
- Submit an application.
- Complete an essay of no more than 500 words about a school counselor who has made a difference in your academic, career, social, and/or emotional development. You may additionally include your career goals, post-secondary education plans, and an explanation for how the scholarship will help you.
- Include an official copy of high school transcript.
- Submit a letter of recommendation.
- Allow their essay to be shared with the school counselor they write about if feasible.

Navy ROTC Scholarship
Amount: 4-year Scholarship worth $180,000

Earn a 4 year scholarship with no obligation to the Navy until your sophomore year. Program completion and graduation will result in Commissioning in the US Navy. A 5 year minimum active duty obligation as a naval officer will be required.

GE-Regan Foundation Scholarship

Ron Brown Scholarship

SCATA NAFEA Scholarship
Amount: $2,500

The purpose of the scholarship program is to financially support post-secondary education for qualifying high school seniors attending their first year of college. There are four scholarships, each worth $2,500, and they are non-renewable. Two scholarships are for students pursuing degrees in Education. The other two scholarships may be awarded to applicants pursuing degrees in Education or any other field.
Requirements for Eligibility:
High school students who are on track to graduate in the spring of 2020 are eligible to apply for the NAFEPA scholarship. Candidates will be nominated by the NAFEPA affiliate state organization or representative. Each state may select one candidate to nominate for the national scholarship program. States with more than 100 members may nominate two candidates.
Criteria
- A personal essay of 350 - 500 words that reflects proper conventions of writing and fully addresses the required discussion points (See Application Checklist for discussion points.)
- GPA, based on the applicant’s Spring 2019 High School transcript.
- School, community, service, leadership and/or work activities and experiences in which the applicant participated during grades 9-12, including leadership positions held.
- Three letters of recommendation including a letter from the student’s high school principal or administrative designee, a faculty member/advisor, and a non-family member.

Aiken Electric Cooperative: Touchtone Energy Scholarship

Two Touchstone Energy Scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded to 2019-2020 high school graduating seniors in the cooperative service area. Carolina Children's Home Scholarship

Woodrow & Edith Worthy Ministerial Scholarship

The College Plan Scholarship

The winning student must be accepted into an accredited college, university, or technical school by the end of the year. The scholarship will be made payable to the attending college, university, or technical school.

Christian Connector, Inc Scholarship Drawing

The scholarship runs each year from June 1st through May 31st. The drawing winner of each scholarship is selected at random and The Christian Connector, Inc. reserves the right to change the random drawing selection process at any point. Individuals must meet the below guidelines in order to be eligible to receive the scholarship.
Drawing Guidelines:
- The scholarship recipient must have plans to enroll for the first time as a full-time student at a Christ-centered Christian college or Bible college within 16 months of being notified by The Christian Connector, Inc. that he/she has won the drawing.
- The Christian Connector, Inc. reserves the right to make the determination of whether or not a particular school qualifies. Any school that is a member of the CCCU, NACCAP or ABHE automatically qualifies.
- The scholarship recipient may not currently be enrolled at a Christian college or Bible college.
- The scholarship will not be sent to the individual recipient, but rather it will be sent directly to the school of choice, meeting the above criteria.
- An individual cannot enter the scholarship drawing more than once, however, he/she may use the request form and Christian Connector services as often as they wish.
- By completing the information request form, the winner of the scholarship allows their name, city and state to be used on the site and in promotional materials, announcing that he/she is a Christian Connector scholarship recipient.
Should the initial randomly selected individual(s) not meet the above guidelines for the scholarship drawing entered, the scholarship will be forfeited and offered to another individual until a selected individual who meets the above guidelines is awarded the appropriate scholarship.
