Reader's Workshop
We compared and contrasted story details within and across texts and recorded our ideas in Venn Diagrams. Students analyzed a poem about Abraham Lincoln and compared it to a quick video about his life. We reviewed hyperbole as a literary device used in the fairy tale genre as we read Once Upon a Cool Motorcycle Dude.Classmates discussed the importance of looking back in the text to find answers and re-reading to discover more meaning.
4B students reflected on their learning in preparation for their Student-Led-Conference. We focused on finding artifacts which illustrate our strengths, and also areas we find challenging. Please be sure you signed up for a conference slot. 4B is looking forward to fun in the computer lab developing personal “Top 5 in 4B" presentations using google slides to show off at our conferences.
