What a Big Week Ahead!
The school year is fast approaching, and I cannot wait to see our students and parents in our building for our Back to School Events this week. We are hosting events on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week-so make sure to read the information below so you do not miss out! At all of our events, please have your child bring their phone or computer to access their school schedule online. We will not be printing hard copies this year. Our building is looking so good, and we can't wait for you to see it! A big shout out to the WHS Band program for a wonderful Community Band Night last Friday, and we are so excited to see athletic competitions starting up soon as well! Go Rocks!

Update Your Student's Medical Information Through PowerSchool
If you have not updated medical information for your student, please submit info through the PARENT PORTAL of PowerSchool in order for your child to be treated in the health clinic. This includes administering Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen. We will not be calling parents for permission to give medications unless the student is significantly ill. New Student Orientation / Multilingual Family Night / Returning Student Building Walk-Through
NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION: All incoming freshmen and students new to Westfield High School are invited to attend the New Student Orientation on Thursday, August 5 at 4:00 pm OR 6:30 pm in the WHS Auditorium.
Parents will attend an informational session in the auditorium while students rotate around the building with Senior Mentors and staff for a more interactive experience. We will help new students find their starting spots once they enter the bistro/auditorium area. They will reconvene with their parents in the Union area where the club fair is held. Students can elect to stay with their parents in the auditorium if they wish.
New students and incoming freshmen will also receive information on how to access their schedules and will be able to walk the halls and find their classrooms at the end of each session.
On Wednesday, August 4th, returning students (grades 10 - 12) are invited to a building walk-through from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Students can come in, walk their schedule, and see their new classrooms for the 2021-22 school year!
In addition, WHS will host a Multilingual Family Night on Wednesday, August 4th from 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm. This is for all students at WHS where another language is spoken in the home. This is not only for our ELL students, but also for our fluent, multilingual students from each grade. It will be a chance to tour the building, receive important information, meet our staff and find out how to be involved in the student life at WHS!
Welcome to all of our 2021-22 students!
2021-22 School Picture Days
All underclassmen pictures will be taken on Friday, August 13th during the school day. Seniors will have their pictures taken on Monday, August 16th during the school day.
Traditionally, more formal attire is recommended for seniors. Please note there is no change of clothing, so seniors should plan to look nice all day and adhere to our dress code.
Prestige Portraits will offer seniors the opportunity to have a Senior Portrait session at their studio with no sitting fee, multiple outfits, and props such as trophies, instruments, pets, sports equipment, etc. Seniors should expect more information from Prestige the first week of October.
