Act: one Scene: Five p. 1016 line 132
Romeo is speaking to his friend Benvolio, Romeo has just been informed that the girl he is in love with is the daughter of his family's ( the Montagues ) only enemy, the Capulets. The quote is relevant to the theme " people should not be hateful" because due to the hate the Montagues and the Capulets have for each other, now that their children have fallen in love with each other , many conflicts and problems will arise.
Act: three Scene: one p. 1048 lines 140-143
In this quote Romeo is speaking to Tybalt, as they are about to sword fight, and then Benvolio speaks to Romeo because Romeo just killed Tybalt as revenge for the death of Mercutio. Because of Tybalt being hateful to Mercutio and thinking he was above him, Mercutio dies, which leads to the fight between Romeo and Tybalt , as Mercutio was Romeo's best friend.Hate was the cause of Mercutio's and Tybalt's death, there for a person should not be hateful.
