The Vietnam War
Introduction
The Vietnam War is another name for the indochinese war, 1954-1973. It usually refers to the period where the United States and other members of the SEATO, (Southeast Asia Treaty Organisation), joined forces of the republic of South Vietnam.
Causes
One of the causes from the Vietnam war was the symptons and consequences of the cold war. Also because America had a belief that all of the South East Asia was thinking about communism, but the United States could not risk a war.
Effects
Obviously one of the major impacts was on the South and North Vietnam. America had military might and tactics. The civillian population suffered major losses. America also droppped 8 million ton of bombs and there was varied ranges of different bombs.

South Vietnam- Ngo Dinh Diem, Nguyen Cao and Cao Van Vien

Protective System- Viet Cong Tunnels
The tunnels were used in the Vietnam by the Viet Cong. The tunnels were built underground just 40km from Saigon. It was around an area also known as "The Iran Triangle".
These were not just ordinary tunnels apart from being used in the war they had living areas, storage and many more. They had these things because imagine living there for days and not having this.
