The Positivity Project
The Positivity Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping America’s youth build stronger relationships by recognizing the character strengths in themselves and others. Their vision is to create citizens and leaders who will enhance our communities and country by internalizing the belief that “Other People Matter.” Positive psychology’s scientifically validated 24 character strengths serve as its foundation. Positive psychology teaches that people have all 24 strengths within them – and that character is not just skills or behaviors, but rather an intrinsic part of each of us.

Ms. Graham - 2nd Grade
I am excited to begin the 2018-2019 school year at Buckhorn Creek! I am a North Carolina native, born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Advanced Spanish Language & Literature with a K-6 Education Licensure. I have been fortunate to serve as a mentor, english language instructor to spanish speakers, camp counselor, and frequent volunteer at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC for students diagnosed along the Autistic spectrum.
When I am not in the classroom, or out in the community, I enjoy volunteer travel experiences. To this date I have traveled to a little over 13 countries, and have served as a volunteer teacher in 8 classrooms worldwide. I look forward to building relationships with the families, students, and staff throughout the Buckhorn Creek Elementary community!
Mr. Raley - 3rd Grade
My wife and I moved to Fuquay-Varina in 2017 with our two beautiful pups. Since then we have added two cats and have a baby boy on the way! When I am not teaching I am exploring new places and foods, kayaking and reading at Topsail Beach, hiking or singing myself to sleep, or trying to improve my green thumb. I have played eleven different organized sports in my lifetime and still play beach volleyball, golf, tennis, and basketball. My wife, Erin, is an amazing professional photographer and we shoot weddings together during the weekends. I love learning new skills and trades from powerwashing to carpentry to landscaping, and I always bring that love for learning into my classroom. Our school community is going to make extraordinary things happen this year, together! Go Pack and Go Bucs!
