Hays High School News
Week of November 9th - 15th, 2020
Student Spotlight
This week the spotlight shines on our College Board National Hispanic Scholars and College Board National Rural and Small Town Scholars. These seniors scored well on the PSAT/NMSQT during their Junior year and have maintained a GPA of at least 3.5. The College Board considers Hays High School a “Rural and Small Town School.” This is truly an awesome group of kids; they have worked hard. We will miss them when they graduate from Hays High School later this year, but we know it will soon be time for them to make a positive impact on our world.

Principal's Message
Dear Hays High School Parents,
I want to thank you for your support of our school and our students. In a world of contentious elections, a public health crisis and continuous bad news, it seems as though the human spirit might be broken into a million pieces. Despite all of the negativity in the last few months, our students are staying safe, staying focused and making a difference. They are earning academic honors, winning football games, playing in the band, applying to colleges and learning all kinds of cool things in school. As adults we must continue to model the “can do” attitude and the idea of persistence- that tough circumstances are always temporary. Our mission is to graduate our students prepared to be successful in college and their careers. We will continue on that path and stay the course, as our work is that important.
