WILDCAT WEEKLY
August 27-31
Welcome!
I am honored and ecstatic that I get to serve as your Westview principal. I am a proud Montana native, husband, and father of two wonderful children. Over the past 19 years,
I have worked as a middle school principal, high school and middle school assistant principal, and high school teacher. Working with students, teachers, and families has proven to be a rewarding experience. This is my first year on the Wildcat team, and I am excited to be the principal of a school with such a dedicated and respected staff and community.
Westview will continue our commitment to provide innovative and rigorous courses in learning environments that are safe and encourage student voice. We will offer a variety of activities and athletics to incite all students to find their place and get involved. Westview is a school for ALL students and we embrace the importance of partnering with parents and guardians to find success as we prepare every student for graduation and options after high school.
As your new principal, I look forward to meeting and working with all of you.
Sincerely,
Matt Pedersen

PARENTVUE ACCESS
If you have an active ParentVue account, enrollment verification needs to be updated every year. Please be sure you have verified your student's enrollment (any changes in phone number, email address, emergency contact info, etc). Also, if you have an active Online Payment account through ParentVue, you can pay past fees, purchase a yearbook, purchase an ASB sticker, or pay Chromebook insurance from home (see school website for link to the payment system). If you haven’t activated your ParentVue account, the District sent out information about how to do this in early August. You can call Westview if you need assistance. If you need help accessing the payment system, please contact the school. You can also read additional information at the following link: Online Payment
Student Parking
Juniors with a valid driver’s license may request to be part of a parking lottery during the first week of school. (Students will also be asked to provide vehicle make/model/license plate information for any car they may park on campus.) On September 4, all seniors must begin parking in their assigned spot, and juniors will be contacted if they were selected for a parking spot through our lottery process. We believe this is the fairest method to support seniors in having the first priority and giving all juniors the same opportunity to compete for a parking space. Juniors and Seniors may continue to add their name to the lottery list over the course of the year. Anytime a parking space becomes available, a name will be chosen through a lottery. No parking passes will be available to sophomores. More information can be found at the following link:
