Our book fair is open! Time to stock up on new books for our upcoming Read-A-Thon. It's also a great time to stock up on gifts. The link is included below. This is a great opportunity to support the PTO. We will receive 25% of all sales! Last year the money we received from Scholastic was used to purchase a new book repair kit for the library, an office laminator and sheets, carpet squares for a classroom and a boombox replacement for a classroom library.

School is closed on Monday in observance of Yom Kippur.

Back to School night is next Tuesday, September 29th.

Don't forget that membership is still open! Join the PTO to help us create lasting memories for our Bears. Fees to join are $10 for families and teachers, and $5 for BGS Aides. Membership grants you free electronic access to our Student Directory. This is especially important now as we try to schedule virtual playdates and have the children connect with other children in their classes outside of the google class meets. You can purchase membership via our AtoZ Connect app or by returning the form below in an envelope marked "PTO Membership". You can return the form when we return to school. However, in order to expedite the process, I recommend you use paypal or a credit card. If you have any questions or concerns please send me an email.

If you want your information to be visible in the directory make sure to choose the "OPT IN" option when you enter your data.

Our PTO uses a tool called AtoZ Connect. This one-stop-shop is available via your web browser AND an app for your mobile phone. If you are new to BGS or need a refresher course on AtoZ, you can catch a full recap of how we'll use it on the PTO Website here: http://bit.ly/AtoZIntro

• Go to join.atozconnect.com and click on “Sign Up Now.”
• The PTO will approve your access, then you'll verify your information.
• While you're there, you can purchase your PTO membership
  

If you joined AtoZ last year, there's Good News! All you have to do is verify your information and pay for your membership. If you pay online, you will have instance access to our online directory. If you pay by check or cash, we will grant you access once we receive the payment, but don't forget to still verify your information.

While you are in AtoZ, you can also check out our Products. We have some BGS pencils, folders and erasers available for purchase in our online store.

Normally at the beginning of the year we are looking for Homeroom Parents. We will still need Homeroom Parents, but until we know more about how our year will look, we're not sure yet how many per class we will need or what the roles will look like.
