All Things Rushing!
Principal's Message!
Hello all,
We had a phenomenal celebration of Hope Week! I want to say thank you so much to the Hope Squad for all of the information and resources presented to all of our students and teachers. I am filled with pride at how much our kiddos take care of each other and look out for one another. Additionally, we began our celebration of Black History Month and the recognition of the achievements and history of African Americans.
One thing that people throughout history have believed in is the importance of education. It is the one thing that allows us to grow, to learn from our past, to prepare for challenges, and, ultimately, to impact our future! I am humbled by the opportunity to experience all of these things with our students, our teachers, and our Rushing families. I also continue to be inspired and excited about the journey!
As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns! Thank you for your continued support and, as I have said, with GRACE, GRATITUDE, and KINDNESS, we can resolve any issue and move forward for the success of our students at Rushing Middle School, GO RAPTORS!
Sincerely,
Danielle Wallace

Boys: Thursday & Friday, 3:45 - 5:00
** It is mandatory that Athletes must be present both tryout days in order to be considered for the Rushing Tennis team.**
What to Bring for Tryouts:
Physical - Failure to bring an up to date physical will result in the athlete being unable to participate in tryouts. Physical forms may be turned in to Coach Sild or Coach Weaver before tryouts or on the first day of tryouts.
Tennis Racquet
Water Bottle
Athletic Clothes
Athletes who make the team will be announced by their Student ID number posted on the Tennis page of the Rushing Athletic Website at 6pm Friday, February 19th.
Practices:
Practices will be after school beginning Monday, February 22nd. (Times and number of days each week is still TBD, as I am waiting for a consensus from all Middle Schools (will most likely get this from the Athletic Coordinator Meeting).
Any time an athlete misses practice it could result in running/extra conditioning or missed playing time. This is not a punishment, but a reminder of how valuable our practice time is.
Matches:
The match schedule has not been finalized yet. Once it has been confirmed I will send out more information regarding the match location, time, and opponent.

Wear Yellow Wednesdays!
"Be Kind" T-Shirts - Order Yours Today
Hope Squad has organized "Be Kind" yellow T-Shirts as a symbol to simply be kind to one another, which is why you often see yellow shirts and apparel throughout our district on every Wednesday of each month. This stems from supporting the cause of suicide awareness and prevention. This year we have two shirt options for you to choose from and purchase through myschoolbucks for $10. Orders will be placed monthly and delivered to your child's campus.
Please log into your "MySchoolBucks" account to order your t-shirt. The shirt will be delivered to your child's campus.
