Did you know...?
Hey Spencer Roadrunners!
Did you ever wonder what happens here at Spencer at night when you are at home sleeping? Look below for some pictures of our very own Elf on a Shelf having some fun! His favorite spot is the Media Center where I hear he spends most of the night reading books and drinking hot cocoa! Our elf along with all of the staff members at the Amazing Spencer Elementary wish you a safe, happy & relaxing holiday break!
Picture Retake Day
Our Picture Retake Day has been rescheduled for January 11th! If you were not happy with your student's original photographs, have them bring the package in on Retake Day, and Lifetouch will retake the photo and resend the package you ordered. I have been told that we should be receiving order forms next week, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need one sent home with your student.

Thank you to everyone who donated gift cards for our Punch a Present staff holiday send off. It was a huge success and we heard from many happy staff members! The staff was also treated to the Good Sense Coffee mobile coffee cart and some Great Harvest pastries on Thursday morning. Every students was given a small gift bag from the PTO that should arrive home today. Happy Holidays to all and have a wonderful break!
A reminder that our next PTO meeting will be virtual on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Have a wonderful holiday season and break!
Hello from your Elementary Counselor, Mrs. McKiddy! With October being Anti-Bullying Awareness Month, we spoke with students about how to use our voice. We talked about how to support one another, how to stand up respectfully, and most importantly, how to do it in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable. Our theme of “Do Something” is carrying into the months of November and December: generosity and acts of kindness. If we can create a culture of kindness in our classrooms, our little learners are more likely to take risks, celebrate their individuality, and grow as people. To deepen this learning, create opportunities at home for spreading kindness and being generous. We know that in order to create a habit, we must create opportunities for repetition.
Let's Connect: If you are noticing some behaviors that are interfering with your child’s success in the classroom, please feel free to complete my parent referral form and we can work together to determine if supports are needed here at school.
More Resources: We also have our BAS Elementary Counseling website for ideas and resources to be used at home!
