The Manning Weekly Update
December 12, 2022

Hello Manning Parents,
We are nearing the end of the first semester of school and I hope it has been a good one for your student and your family.
This week, we have four performances of the Manning musical, Frozen, beginning Tuesday night at 7 pm. Our students will have a chance to watch Frozen next Monday during the school day.
*Important reminder - If your child is sick, please keep them home. If you receive a call from our clinic notifying you that your child is sick, please be prepared to pick them up from school and/or have an emergency contact that will be able to help. Our clinic does not have a lot of room for students to stay an extended amount of time. Parents, please make sure the contact information in Campus is accurate.
*Many thanks to our PTA for all the support they give our students and staff. This week, our PTA is stocking the lounge full of great snacks for our staff!
*Reminder - Only students who need to make up a final need to come to school on Tuesday, December 20. Please call the school if you have questions.
*Winter Break is December 21 through January 4 - students return to school January 5.
*Principal Hiring Timeline - the Manning principal position will be advertised in January; with hiring committee meetings taking place in mid-January and interviews taking place around February 1st. We will keep you informed regarding any updates on this process.
Thanks for all your support -
Mike Collins, Principal

How Sick is too Sick?
A message from your School Nurse:
Dear Manning Families,
Please take a moment to review the following How Sick is Too Sick guidelines from the Colorado Department of Health. Manning is experiencing an influx of illness this fall and we are relying on our community to do their part in reducing the spread of communicable disease within the school. Please remember that there are more illnesses than just Covid that can be spread, and fever or a positive Covid test result are not the only reasons to stay home. Keeping our students and staff healthy and safe is our priority and we appreciate your help in doing this.

"Manning Students,
We see how hard you are working. We see how you represent Manning at school and outside of school, and we want to say good job; we are proud of you! Have fun this week, searching for 100 small Santa Belt clothespin clips throughout the school. You will receive an email which will include a picture of what you are looking for. All 100 Santa belts are numbered and in plain site. They are in classrooms, hallways, and maybe even the cafeteria. Keep your eyes wide and if you find a Santa belt clip, bring it to the office for a small prize that shows we appreciate you!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! From the PTA"
One prize, per clip. Students can only win once.
