About Wrightson
Wrightson Fine Arts High School is fine arts magnet high school located in North Hollywood, California. It is a college prep school that is on a block schedule with traditional school year schedule. School begins at 8 am and students are released at 3:05 pm.
Our Mission
Our mission at Wrightson Fine Arts High School is to allow students to express themselves to their fullest potential and provide a pathway for students to pursue their chosen career.
Schedule
Homeroom
Students spend 15 minutes in homeroom upon arriving at school. Students will hear the announcements and what is going on throughout the week.
Lunch
Students have 30 minutes at lunch. Their class will be scheduled for either A lunch, B lunch, or C lunch which are all at different times. Lunch takes place during their third block.
Class time
Each student has four classes each semester. The amount of time spent in each class is one hour and thirty minutes except for third block, that is when students go to lunch for 30 minutes. They are given five minutes to make it to each class before they are considered tardy.
Our School Rap
"Wrightson high the best and they pass their test, they study real hard for the next performance, they do all the work and impress the guest. Dance and sing and theater is what we do, we got the whole list I’ll tell you how we do. Got them A’s on the wall, success growing tall, dabbin down the hall. you know we never fall. The Fun Stuff
Our school mascot is the Mighty Cougar with our school colors as maroon and gray. Friday we ask that our students come to school in as much school spirit as possible. In addition, on Fridays we hold various events such as pep rallies and talent shows. We have a wide range of extracurricular activities stretching from the multiple athletic choices to the numerous clubs such as DECA, Key, Lighthouse, etc.
