MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL LAMBERT
Dear Mariano Castro Parents,
The end of the second trimester is coming soon. Students in all grades will be taking assessments in the next two weeks, in both ELA and Math, to measure their progress on the standards that have been taught so far this year. Please talk at home about taking tests seriously; that this is an opportunity to Show What They Know! and to have a great attitude about finding out what they need more practice in.
After the assessments will be February break, then teachers will prepare the report cards and they will go home on March 8th. We will have parent-teacher conferences the week of March 11th. These are required conferences for all students.
PTA is planning a great Book Fair the same week as parent conferences. If you can volunteer for an hour or two after school, any day the week of March 11th, please let us know in the office.
Best Regards,
Theresa Lambert, Principal

Parents, we want to hear from you: Please click below to give input through March 1 in a survey about the plans' goals. (Using a laptop/desktop computer or a tablet is recommended. Formatting may not be as readable on mobile devices). If you would like a paper copy, please come to the office.

School Accountability Report Card (SARC)
All public schools receiving state funding are required to prepare and distribute a SARC (School Accountability Report Card). The purpose of the report card is to provide parents and the community with important information about each school. SARCs are published each year and contain data from the previous school year.
There are several ways to view your school’s SARC:
Visit the MVWSD elementary schools’ and middle schools’ webpages on www.mvwsd.org and click on your school’s SARC links, for both English and Spanish.
Go to the CDE Find a SARC Web page. This CDE Web page provides actual SARC reports or SARC Web links to the school or district website where the school's SARC is located.
If you would like to obtain a printed copy in Spanish or English, please see your child’s school.
