Immigration to Texas
About the country
Mexican immigrants had push and pull factors of why they should move to Texas/U.S instead of staying to live in Mexico. Some push factors were because of how high the crime rates were over the yrs, unemployment and the natural hazards from droughts, to volcano eruptions and even to tsunamis. Some pull factors are that moving to America would be better for Mexicans because of the academic opportunities, less poverty, and easier settlement. For the area they settled in Texas was in Southeast Texas. One Mexican that immigrated to Texas was named Ruben Garcia Villalpanou. the Mexicans settled between the late 1800s and the early 1900s.
