Over 47,000 Visitors for 2016-2017!
Our mission is to empower students and staff to become critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information.

Classes using the Library!
- 970 classes used the library during the 2016-17 school year
- 798 classes received direct instruction from Ms. Banton and Mr. Kroll.
- 36 teachers used the library for direct instruction of their classes.
- Closed 21 days for meetings, testing, and computer collection.
- 159 instructional days in the library.
- Average of 6.1 classes per day using the library
- Subject areas using the library for research and/or direct library instruction: English, Reading, World Languages, Social Studies, ELL Levels 1-3, PE and Health grades 6-8.
- Hosted math camps, reading camps, and tutoring (ELL, math, English)
- Most popular lessons: Pokemon Go Learn the Library Stations; Hispanic Heritage Month Research Stations; Dia de los Muertos Research Stations; Brookland Bookbinder's Book Tastings; Black History Month Research Stations; Women's History Month Research Stations; Holiday Research/Craft Lessons with all ELL classes.

- 1,128 new books added to our collection for the 2016-2017 school year!
- Average age of collection is 2003 (a 4 year gain from 2015-16).
- Circulation for 2016-2017: 22,008 books checkout by students and staff.
- Interlibrary Loan- we borrowed 387 books and loaned 325 books.
- 200 books not returned by June 16, 2017.
