Greetings,
We had an amazing first few days of eLearning. I was thrilled to see students engaged in learning with their teachers and classmates! Our teachers were so excited to interact with their students and get back to teaching and learning as best we can for the time being. Please continue to read all district communications to stay informed during our closure and eLearning experience. Updates can also be found on Parkway's website or by clicking here.
As we engage in virtual learning, please take a moment each day to remind your student about the importance of digital citizenship and his or her virtual social responsibilities. This 40-second video is a useful tool which shares some quick tips. Please remind them that their digital communication should always reflect our ROSE values, whether posting for eLearning or personal use. Also, remind them that once something is shared online, the content may remain on the internet even if they delete it.
To stay connected as a school community during our eLearning experience, we encourage everyone to participate in our virtual school Spirit Days. Each day through April 3rd, we will have a themed Spirit Day. You and your child can participate by posting pictures of students engaged in the spirit activity on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram tagging Highcroft or using the hashtag #Highcroftbettertogether! See the calendar above or the graphic below for details on each Spirit Day.
Be on the lookout for our morning announcements each weekday by 9:05 via email and on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We also invite you to recognize your child when they display our ROSE values by submitting a Virtual Gotcha. Click here to complete the Virtual Gotcha form.
Be well,
Cartelia Lucas
