Principal's Message
Dear Hoover Families!
WELCOME BACK! I am so excited to have everyone back! our teachers have been working very hard to get their classroom ready and putting all the pieces together for a great and safe year! Go Huskies!
Here is how you can help!
- Please be here on time for drop off and pick up/parking is always hard to find the first days of school
- Please only park in designated areas, DO NOT park in the Staff Parking (On Stambaugh Street) as this space is set aside for teachers and staff only and they need to get to their classroom right away
- Please follow the directions given by the yard duties
- If you do need a space to park, please find street parking
- You may also use park in the back by Hilton Street, but you will still need to enter the school through Charter Street, do not enter through the gym or through the back of the school, as entry is restricted due to COVID
- Make sure that your child has the health form that is required, this was included in the folder that was given at Maze Day, if you do not have one, please get one prior to entering campus.
- Make sure that you take your child temperature at home, prior to arriving to school, if your child is showing cold symptoms (i.e. cough, runny nose, fever, etc) please keep him/her at home and leave a voicemail in our office (650-482-2408)
- RCPD will be patrolling the streets around Hoover and I would not like you getting a ticket, so please be mindful of traffic and do not double park
- Parents are not allowed on campus, you will need to drop off your child at the school gate by the cafeteria on Charter street and a yard duty will take him/her to their designated area
Other important info
- Breakfast and lunch will be available for all children for free throughout the year, your child will have the choice to have breakfast upon arrival to school in the morning, or have it during recess time. I strongly suggest that your child gets breakfast at home, he/she will then get a snack at recess time and lunch at his/her designated time.

TK, Kinder: Start Time 8:15, Dismissal Time 1:05pm
First Grade: Start Time 8:15, Dismissal Time 1:20pm
2nd and 3rd Grade: Start Time 8:30, Dismissal Time 1:45pm
4th and 5th grade: Start Time 8:30, Dismissal Time 1:50pm
6th, 7th and 8th grade: Start Time 8:45, Dismissal Time 2pm

Student Education Benefit Form,
If you have not done so, please fill out the form above for the 2021-22 school year, because all students will get free lunches, the district will not collect the usual Free or Reduced-Price Meal (FRPM) Applications. Instead, the district will ask households to complete the above Student Education Benefit Form (click on link above) to survey household income.
