Pleasant Valley Family Newsletter
November 18, 2022
Our mission is to empower and inspire a community of lifelong learners and leaders!
Dear Pleasant Valley Families,
Thank you to all who donated to our Student Council and Parma Educators Association Food Drive! Our class of 2034, aka Grade 1, had the most items donated! This is the class that one last year too! Thank you again for all of your generous donations! They will be appreciated by the families who receive them!
A big shout out to our PTA Third Vice President, Heather Ashforth, and all of the parents and family members who volunteered their time to make the PTA PV Wing Ding Fundraiser a fun and successful night! This included meetings in the evening to plan, assisting with set up, working during the event, donating baskets, selling tickets, and helping clean up. Also, thank you to all the parents who supported the event by attending!
Please remember to send students to school prepared for winter weather. Students will continue to be outside for recess if it is dry and the "feels like" temperature is above 20 degrees. Car riders should continue to be prepared to be outside in cold and wet weather.
Our lost and found is currently bursting at the seam! Please click this link to view items that we have. If you see an item that belongs to your child, please encourage them to come down and look in the box for the row attached to the picture.
I wish all of our PV families and community a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Please keep this in mind... If you hear something from your child that doesn’t seem right, check with your child’s teacher immediately. Should safety ever be compromised, I will promptly notify all families. Creating a safe, orderly, and welcoming learning environment is critical to educating and preparing our learners to achieve their highest potential. The safety of your children will always be at the forefront. We have a very dedicated staff who work hard to ensure that your child is welcomed, served, and dismissed safely each and every day, whether via car, bus, or walking.
I want to thank you for your partnership with Pleasant Valley! We are very appreciative of all of you! If you have any questions, concerns, or just a great idea you would like to share, please email me at bokas@parmacityschools.org or call the main office at (440) 843- 3661 (until 440.885.2380 works again) any weekday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Very Sincerely Yours,
Mrs. Stephanie Boka

Attendance is Important
Attendance Procedures
If your child is going to be absent, please call our office at: 440-885-2380 no later than 9:30 am. If the absence requires a doctor's visit, please provide a doctor’s note when they return to school. Daily student attendance is a vital component of student academic success.
